It's after midnight, but I had to take the time to tell you how much joy you have brought to two little girls! Our granddaughters have spent the summer with us for the past three years. As it happens, UniverSoul Circus has hit Indy on or around July 15--the youngest one's birthday. Now, she is certain that celebrating her birthday with us means going to the circus. We celebrate "extended" birthdays, so her older sister includes UniverSoul as part of her June 26 birthday as well. They cherish the autographed photos with Zeke they have collected. Their grandfather made two trips to the box office to be sure he got tickets in "our" box, #31 on July 15. We enjoyed your family-friendly show and look forward to the 16th season!

We went to the show here in Indianapolis last night, July 15, and I can honestly say that it was fantastic.

I am not a circus fan in any way shape or form, but I enjoyed the show immensely. The acts were well done, many of them absolutely thrilling, and the interaction with the audience by various members of your crew was a delight to the kids.

We are a "mixed" family, mom and I are white, and we have an adopted eight year old son who is white, along with a two and a half year old (who thinks he is the next great daredevil) adopted son who is black. We also foster a black child. Truthfully, I did not know what to expect from your show, as I have seen some very distressing representations of black culture in our modern society. However, your show's emphasis on quality entertainment, family and faith was such as to make it very easy for me to recommend your show to any of my friends.

It was wonderful to be able to show our children that not all of black culture in America is gangsta rap and the thug life. We are raising our boys to be God fearing, loving and respectful young men, and shows such as yours help us as parents to do exactly that.

Thank you!

PS

The two and half year old sat wide eyed watching the tigers, and then spent the rest of the night growling at his brothers.

Carla

I attended the Soul Circus July 15th. I had a grand time. I missed last year but I have been in the previous years 03 thru 06. I do miss the original ring master and it seems like some of the entertainment that made the Soul Circus is gone. I did enjoy Schukie Dukie (quack, quack).

Well for the past 4 or 5 years now I have been hearing about this UNIVERSOOOOUL Circus, but I never had the chance to go. Well today Wednesday July 15, 2008 during the 15 year celebration of the UniverSoul Circus I took the rest of the day off so that I could come and it was worth it. I love what you are doing! The only thing more I want to see is a bigger ring so that you can add trapeze and tightrope artists to the show, but other than that it was the BOMB! I like the way you keep the audience hype with the music, soul train line and the ball interaction. The BEST part about the show is that you gave GLORY TO GOD!!!! I am also a advocate for the Deaf and a Sign Language Interpreter and it would be a blessing to see an interpreter sign when the Ringmaster is speaking. I am sure the Deaf would enjoy the show as well, but they also want to know what is being said. Think about it! I LOVE MY PEOPLE!!!!

This was my first time attending this awesome circus and it was a surprise treat from my favorite Uncle Garry D from Akron, Ohio who got us front row center seats! I have been to many incredible shows in my time but this show had it all! Energy, fun, old school and most important SOUL! I wnated to give a Big Top shout out to the incredible Ring Masters Shucky Ducky and Zeke for keeping the show engaging and rolling. Also to the acrobatic clowns that had me laughing till my sides hurt! Keep up the Faith in your show and I pray that it continues for another 15 years! Coco

My husband and I attended opening night of the Circus and this was a first time visit for us. We truly enjoyed all of the acts and will be making this an annual event during Black Expo. My husband made a statement that if we were financially able, the Circus would continue for another fifteen years.
Thank You for positive entertainment for all.

I went to the matinee this morning, 7/17/07, and as usual the show was rocking. I go to the matinee with all the kids because it's cheaper and I also enjoy watching the kids having a ball. I have attended every show since it became a part of Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration, and I have never been disappointed.

PLEASE continue UniverSoul Circus as a part of our Summer
celebration. We need positive black male role models and UniverSoul Circus fits the bill. You Rock!!

The entertainment is positive, family oriented, morally based, and just what this community needs. Thank you for what you do!!

I have come to the last 13 shows and they are great. It would be really awesome to see some bears and more clowns. My 2yr old asked about the other llama (cause there was only 1) but we found out he was with the 2 chickens(lol). Keep giving Glory to God and the show will always prosper. We will continue to support the Soul Circus.

I took my two boys to the show for the second time and they loved it like it was their first time. I also really enjoyed it. My boy's favorite part was the elephants. Last year they had a group called the caribbean experience but the circus didn't have them this year I really missed them because that was my favorite part last year. We hope to see you next year!!!

I loved the show. I really like how the ringmaster gets everyone involved. The bakers was the best act. "I like how theygot into a fight with the usher. I like the love act. I do think they should pick another church song that people can understand. God bless You and may he ever make a way for you to continue on.
Indianapolis loves you!

We went to the 8:00 show here in indy and my whole family loved it. It was my mother-in-laws' first time going and she had the best time. She laughed the whole time and she even asked me to bring her back next year.

The baby loved it also. She was dancing and playing with Zeke most of the time. The show was spectacular! I can't wait to see you again next year!

THank you...

I think that you guys did well but I also think that the stilt walkers should have come back. That was my whole reason for coming back, after three years. It seems to have become more of an acrobatic show than anything. Nieasha Indy.

We just experienced our first trip to Universoul Circus. It was fantistic! The acts were all high quality and exciting. It was thrilling to be so close to the acts. We loved the audience participation and even handshakes and knuckles by the Ringmaster and Zeke. The topper was the God was honored. We hope to return next year and bring more family members. LJP

I'm 58 and a first time attender and enjoyed the show. Just a few personal comments. It's for the kids and I don't care for most rap but the young ladies in the dance contest didn't relate to the music, think u should know what clean hip hop is hot and w/ positive message. I probably would have preferred the mimme(sp?) perform to a popular gospel tune. Love what you're doing - good clean fun.

This is me and my children's second year attending the UniverSoul Circus and we truly enjoyed ourselves. I really enjoyed the fact that the show was completely different from last year. Although I did love the men on stilts from last year, the show was great! Keep up the great work and we will definitely see you next year!

I just wanted to say may God continue to bless this show. I have been fortunate to see this show the last two years and I know that my three year daughter Damiya loved it. She always wants to see again and again. We will be back next year! Congratulations on 15 years of beautiful entertainment and we hope that you have 100 more.

I enjoyed the circus but I liked the previous years better than this year. This year you had a praise for our God Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that was awesome. Lookforward to future years, put God first and you will always be blessed.

I went to the Saturday July 19 show. I had so much fun! All of the acts are wonderful, and had me in awe. I have a great respect for what you guys are doing. I can't say what my favorite was but, we loved the couples singing and everyone around me no matter what age was trying to hit the bouncing balls floating around the audience. Definately Family Oriented Fun!

Hi my name is Amy, I saw the show in Indy and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!! DON'T CHANGE A THING!

My kids and I were on the edge of ours seats from the first act, lol. Really and truly loved the gospel mimes, they were awesome.
(SIDEBAR Comment)I read in one of the comments that the mimes should "Perform" to a "Popular" tune, What they need to realize is that what they do is "MInistry" not "Performance". The song that was selected was PERFECT for not olny the times that we're living in, but for the theme of the show. As I said before AWESOME, DON'T CHANGE A THING! Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless the show and the Universoul Family...

When I say BIG TOP, you say CIRCUS.
BIIIIIIIIIIG TOOOOOOOOOOP!(lol)

God Bless, Amy of Indy

I absolutly enjoyed the show, keep up the excellent work. I have a couple of favorite acts, lol, the tigers, the pizza act, and the mimes. I'm not a big religious person, but that mime act really touched me (gave me chills). When they said "God is a good God" and the crowd exploded with cheers & screams, it really got me excited. Keep it up Universoul and I will definitly be back next year, and I'm bring backup(lol)

Love you guys
Carla

I attended the Circus on July 19th.
I missed a few years but hopefully
not again. Please keep coming to Indy. I like everything but miss the stilt walkers. They have so much energy and the costumes are
so colorful. I like that you put
God and faith in it. There is something for everyone. May God
continue to bless you. Loved meeting Zeke and Chucky Duck!

My 7 year old son and I attended the Friday night show in Indy during the Summer Celebration. We have been blessed to attend five shows ('03, '05-'08). Each time I am always truly impressed and my son just loves Zeke. Other circus shows just do not compare, in my opinion. Keep up the good work and God Bless. Universoul Circus provides our youth with positive images of people of color. Hope to see you next year and many more to come.

This was my first time at the Universoul (Black People) Circus and I was thoroughly entertained. I loved it probably more than my children. I had to make sure my friends and family supported and experienced this event so I paid their way too and I was every bit satisfied. Shuckie Duckie is the perfect host his voice is great for this type of thing. My favorite act was Sheer Romance that was a beautiful act. I wish you all the success in the world because this show is the B**B DIGGITY!
