Welcome to UniverSoul Life!

Welcome to our brand new blog UniverSoul Life! I'm Paula Witt, the publicist for the UniverSoul Circus and I'll be giving you a behind the scenes look at life at the UniverSoul Circus.
This is a photo of me right before one of our shows in the circus' hometown, Atlanta, GA.

We just finished an exciting run that included community appearances by our performers, a string of sold-out shows, live performances on WAGA-TV "Good Day Atlanta" and exciting performances by gospel star Canton Jones and rap legends Whodini. We are currently in Greenville, SC and will be headed to Raleigh, NC (March 12-March 16), Richmond, VA (March 19-March 23) and then New York City with Brooklyn (March 26-April 13), Queens (April 15-April 27) and the Bronx (April 29-May 4). There are so many people who work with the UniverSoul Circus.

This blog will allow us to share some of the spontaneous and sometimes bizarre behind the scenes happenings that take place during the show. But most importantly, we want you to be a part of UniverSoul Life!

Check back here regularly to see what's going on and be sure to check out other areas of our website http://www.universoulcircus.com.

My family and I have attended the Universoul Circus for the past ten years. We always look forward to the circus coming to North Carolina. But the last two years the circus has not lived up to what it once was. Where was Onionhead, you can't have a circus without the clown playa. I miss Country and Lucky dancing. There once was more old school r&b and old school gospel. Where are the lessons that went along with each act? I would love to see Cal or Shuckey Duckey back as ringmasters. Zeke and Maybelle were off the hook. But no matter what Universoul has to offer we will be back next year.

I have been a loyal supporter of the circus for the past 4-5 years & I have drawn others to the performances. I must say although you are still the best circus I have ever experienced; I did miss the big finale. I remember black Jesus coming out to I am here by R. Kelly. I remember the ring master with the fly gold hat. I remember when Zeke wasn't there & I am happy he seems to be back to stay. I know everything must change but the finale I feel is key to your circus. Whether it be moral or christian based. I also missed the clown like jokesters that danced or played basketball or whatever. I did however notice you had more animal acts this year. What I am saying is I want it all! You gave it to me for many years... You raised the bar & now I expect nothing less.
We saw the show Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Raleigh, NC.
All & all I still love you guys. Great show ...just remember what makes you great!

I attended the ^:30 pm show on Sunday and to my surprise I was a little disappointed in the beginning and ending. I have not missed a show in the last three years and found the closing, especially with the Caribbean music and dancing to be spectacular. I did not feel that emotion this Sunday when I attended. Don't get me wrong the show was fabulous, but I was looking for that spectacular ending.

I'm from FRIENDS Association for Children agency and we took 220 people to the opening UniverSoul Circus show this morning in Richmond, VA. We have attended for several years, but think that this is by far the best UniverSoul Circus show we've seen. The past years were good, but this was awesome! I pray that everyone who attends the upcoming shows in Richmond, VA and elsewhere enjoy the show as much as we did.
Thank you for continuing to bring great entertainment and talent to Richmond, VA. God Bless!

Sorry Guys. I thought you dropped the ball this year when you came to Richmond. Where were the colorful costumes? What happened to professionals instead of depending so much on the audience? I sure hope next year will be a lot better.

The show was a blast. This was my family and I first time ever going to a soul circus, and I can't imagine anything better for entertainment. The ring master & Zeke really brought the show together. The grand Finale of the show was the romance scene. My family and I are still talking about it. We saw the show in Raleigh N.C. March 15,2008. We can't wait until next year. Please make sure that the ringmaster and Zeke are their also make sure the romance scene is a part of the show.

A perfect show!!!!!! My daughters and I attend the show every year in Brooklyn. We love it! There is no other show like it. Keep up the good work. Quick question...there is a beat(song) that the DJ plays just before the end of intermission. Ringmaster Tone and the DJ was grooving to this beat when I attended last Sunday. I need to know the name of that song. Thanks.

Dorothy said: THE CIRCUS WAS WONDERFUL THIS YEAR. WE LOVE THE NEW RINGMASTER AND ZEKE IS THE HIT OF THE RING. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT DOUBLE TICKETS WERE PRINTED WITH THE SAME NUMBER FOR OUR SETTING. MY AUTISTIC STUDENTS COME EVERY YEAR AND HAVE A GREAT TIME. WE MISSED THE CARRIBEAN DANCERS ON STILTS. CONGRATULATIONS ON 15 YEARS OF SUCCESS. UNIVERSOU CIRCUS IS REALLY THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.

THANK YOU

Love, Love, Love this circus. It was a pleasure to see people of color perform such spectactual acts. I was in awe by the beauty of the silk rope performers and was elated to hear that the young man was from the Bronx. Great job and next year my Granddaugther will be able to appreciate it..See you then..
